National Competition Group Stage Final

It's been an odd year for the National Competition and I can only apologise for the lack of reporting on it. I've been trying to streamline the competition and have all games scored or uploaded via Play-Cricket however this has been met with significant challenges. A direct result of this is that I've not been in a position to do what I did last year and report the rounds as they happened.

That said, the group stage is now complete and we know who has made it to the Quarter Finals. This is how the tables finished:

Group 1

Devon & Cornwall - 9 points

North Wales - 8 points

PSNI - 6 points

South Wales & Gwent - 5 points

Gloucestershire & Wiltshire - -3 points

Group 2

West Yorkshire - 9 points

North West Alliance - 6 points

Northumbria & Durham - 2 points

Humberside - 0 points

Group 3

West Midlands Alliance - 9 points

Staffordshire - 6 points

NCA - -1 points

Leicestershire - -2 points

Leicestershire still have a match to play Vs NCA, but the result will not affect the top 2 standings

Group 4

Met & City of London - 9 points

Kent - 7 points

Thames Valley - 6 points (NRR 1.769)

Essex - 6 points (NRR -0.020)

Hampshire - 1 points

So all this means that the Quarter Finals are (Team named first are home team):

Quarter Final 1 - Devon & Cornwall Vs North West Alliance

Quarter Final 2 - West Yorkshire Vs North Wales

Quarter Final 3 - West Midlands Alliance Vs Kent

Quarter Final 4 - Met & City of London Vs Staffordshire

These matches are due to be played on 19th July
