"The match between Leicestershire and Humberside at Kibworth CC was played in an excellent spirit and I would like to thank Humberside for making the effort to travel. It was an enjoyable day on an excellent pitch and ground and also the tea was exceptional. Thanks goes to the Leicestershire Police Catering for that. There was some good batting from Leicestershire who quickly realised that the game was going to be high scoring and pushed on the rate at an early stage, getting through the new ball and allowing the middle order to score freely. Scores of note were Lee Hunt 92, George Crossley 90 and Warren Heath 65. The total of 342 was always going to be too much and some excellent bowling from everyone reduced Humberside to 74 all out. Bowling of note was Lee Eckersley 3 for 31, Richard Jackson 3 for 19"
